Windows

Yesterday Greg put in the last of the new windows in the living room. There is still trim work to be done outside, but at least there are three new windows and a new front door.

When we first got here that Saturday we went to The Estate Sale and found a washer and dryer. The only problem was we didn’t own the house yet, so no place to put them. The funny part was the man selling told us that the washer still had a load of laundry in it from when they took it out of the home. Well week after week we kept going back and the set was still there, with the laundry in it. So we went back yesterday and told ourselves if it was still there we gonna ask if we could get the set for $200. And now we have a washer and dryer. I finally took out the load of laundry and trashed it.

Cluster

This is a cluster of art and found objects opposite the kitchen. One day there will be a small table with hairpin legs and a custom shelf that hangs below these beautiful things.

The guest bedroom is coming along. I was able to finish a second coat today, and Greg started building the bed and the desk. More pictures tomorrow.

New window

Sorry no post yesterday, we took the day off. We went to the casino with friends to raid the buffet.

Today we paint inside the kitchen cabinets and Greg installed one of two living room windows.

Happy Holidays!

Headboard

Greg built our headboard today. It had originally been a 16 ft long bench, that broke and weathered, after a few coats of satin varnish to seal it and protect us from debris, we have a beautiful new headboard. As we were installing it, the doorbell rang, it was our neighbors little girl bringing us homemade tamales. Can you say amazing.
Photos tomorrow of the finished headboard, until then a few shots of other xmas in the house.

Bedroom wall

Yesterday was kinda slow going but productive. Greg finished shelving his closet and started mine. All the while pulling out art, clothes, and things from the garage.
Today Greg got my closet pole up so I could start hanging clothes. We had just dumped our wardrobe into the pods and then on to the garage floor on a drop cloth. Now we can see all of our stuff and not have to search for that pair of jeans.
Greg spent the last little bit hanging art on our bedroom wall. Hope you enjoy.
