Yard Work

After hooking up to the sewer, we had a little concrete work done to extend the front drive to make room for another car. On the back of the house we extended the patio on both sides to allow for a larger seating area, and be able to get to the trash cans without tracking through the sand. On the far side of the house we dug up and sifted the sand to remove grass and put down a weed barrier, then covered it with rock.

Getting near the End

Sorry I haven’t posted anything in a while. The studio is almost finished. It is at the point where we are just tying up loose ends. Greg still has a few furniture pieces to build, but those will be done off-site and then taken over later.

The front office is wrapped in plywood. One more coat of poly and it will look like a million bucks. The hair and make-up room is complete. The floors have been clear-coated to help seal and protect them, plus who doesn’t like a little shine.

More pictures to come.

Moving along

Yesterday the sheetrockers got started. It is amazing at how fast the new sheetrock really begins to transform a space.

Today we are finishing the framing in the back room. Soon it will be time to paint.

Studio

Well it was a fast and furious five days of demo, two twenty foot dumpsters and lots of cutting to get the studio space to a point where we are almost ready to to start putting it back together.

Tomorrow Cameron shows up to help us out.

Photos soon…

Shed

The last couple of days we have been constructing a shed for friends. It felt so nice to be painting in the sun, probably in the mid 80’s. I will post a picture when we are done.
