Back in Ptown

Well after 3200 miles we are back on the Cape. It was a good trip visiting family and taking 6 days.

It was a fun night with friends having dinner at the Pig and catching up on everyone’s winter. Today it’s raining! And it is supposed to rain the next few days.

Sick

Greg and I have been sick for for a while. We were down for two weeks. I’m sitting in the doctors office waiting on Greg, today was his follow up. He has been taking a z pack and his main problem lately is inner ear pressure/ congestion. Hopefully this is the last week of sickness.
We are planning on heading back to the Cape around the 26 of this month. I can’t believe the winter will be over for us in about two weeks.
The studio is complete and their website should be up soon. I will post a link as it happens.
I will continue to post our cross-country progress. Right now the only stop we have planned is visiting my parents in Arkansas, which is basically right in the middle, just over 1500 miles. Then it’s 1500 more to Ptown.
Thanks to everyone that followed our winter!

Getting near the End

Sorry I haven’t posted anything in a while. The studio is almost finished. It is at the point where we are just tying up loose ends. Greg still has a few furniture pieces to build, but those will be done off-site and then taken over later.

The front office is wrapped in plywood. One more coat of poly and it will look like a million bucks. The hair and make-up room is complete. The floors have been clear-coated to help seal and protect them, plus who doesn’t like a little shine.

More pictures to come.

Moving along

Yesterday the sheetrockers got started. It is amazing at how fast the new sheetrock really begins to transform a space.

Today we are finishing the framing in the back room. Soon it will be time to paint.

Studio

Well it was a fast and furious five days of demo, two twenty foot dumpsters and lots of cutting to get the studio space to a point where we are almost ready to to start putting it back together.

Tomorrow Cameron shows up to help us out.

Photos soon…
