Here are a couple of photos of the shed. Today I’m going to paint the sides and the rafters. We are waiting on the doors and we still need to figure out the roofing material, but you get the idea.
We also started demo on a job for a friend. This space is great and will be an amazing photo studio.
The last couple of days we have been constructing a shed for friends. It felt so nice to be painting in the sun, probably in the mid 80’s. I will post a picture when we are done.
Yesterday Greg hung the sheetrock in the garage where the washer and dryer will be. It needed to be replaced, it looked as though a dog had clawed at it for a while. Soon we will be able to use our own laundry facility.
I have been getting all the parts so that once we glue down the mirror, I can hook up our bathroom faucet.
Today we are in the middle of some weird sand/wind storm…
So this is the bathroom counter and Ikea sink.
The last few days we have started building the bathroom vanity, painting and adding more shelves in the kitchen, and built a large outdoor table/ workspace for the back.
Last night we built our kitchen table using the legs we ordered from Hairpinlegs.com. It is the perfect size for our little house.
Today Greg built our desk in the guest room/ office. It’s so nice to be able to sit at a desk with our computers rather than laying down with the lap-top on your chest.
Greg and I came to Santa Monica for a few days to hang out and ride bikes on the beach. We just drove around to find the Dennis Hopper estate which part of was designed by Frank Gehry called the three little pigs.

So far today I got the hall closet painted, now Greg can put it back together. Not sure what else we will get done today, maybe a lazy New Year’s day.
